  • POSITIONS AND EDUCATION

INRA Engineer in Agronomy

Diplôme d’Ingénieur d’Etat, spécialité agriculture, Ecole National Supérieure Agronomique de Montpellier (ENSAM).

  • MAIN RESEARCH INTERESTS
    • Current :

My activities are mainly related to orchard birds and comprise two complementary research approaches:

(i) The caracterisation of the impacts of both farmer practices and landscape on birds. My aim is to identify tools for assessing the biodiversity of orchard birds and to derive indicators of the environmental quality of such agro-ecosystems;

(ii) More recently, the quantification of the role of bird biodiversity for the control of codling moth, a major insect pest in pomefruit orchards.

    • Recent past:

Detection of insecticide resistance in codling moth: identification of enzymatic resistance mechanisms, development of biochemical and biological resistance tests, and analyses of their genetic determinisms.

  • SUPERVISION and TEACHING

2nd year master students (M2) :

2011 : Mickaël Mille - Influence de l'aménagement des vergers de pommiers sur la communauté des arthropodes et sa fonctionnalité potentielle de régulation des ravageurs. Université Montpellier 2.

2009 : Isabelle Muller - Impacts of fruit growers practices and landscape on the spatial distribution oh the European roller (Coracias garrulus) in the Southeastern France. Université Pierre et Marie Curie Paris 6.

2007 : Julia Agerberg - Impacts of fruit growers practices and landscape on bird communities in apple orchards of Southeastern France. AgroParisTech.

Apprenticeship

2008 : Mathieu Galès - Ecological impacts of farmers practices in apple and pear orchards. LEGTA le Valentin, Valence.

Teaching

Since 1999, independent contractor teaching at the university of Avignon. IUT, "Biological Engineering", 2nd year, 30 hours as part of a module "Sustainable Agriculture" (ecotoxicology, environmental impacts of agricultural practices).
